2019 Arts Festival
2019 Galleries and Competitions
Ashby Arts festival is famous for its giant outdoor gallery! Each year many businesses around the town centre display huge paintings done by local professional and amateur artists. With a huge range of styles and images this is accessible “Street Art” for all!
This year the theme is “Name that Tune!”. See up to 40 8×4 foot artworks displayed on buildings around town. There is also a Children’s section with a series of 4 foot square boards. From mid May you can collect an Art around Town leaflet from Ashby TIC or download one by clicking here and follow the trail, guessing the tunes as you go!
From Thursday 25th April to Friday 21st June , FREE.
The Festival Galleries
At the heart of the festival are the Festival Galleries which host our annual Art and Photography Exhibitions at Ivanhoe College. View and buy high quality art from both professional and amateur artists, see our “mini gallery” of Under 16’s artworks, grab an arty bargain in our “Pop Up Art Shop” and visit our Art Cafe for refreshments! Plus other crafts and activities each day. See the entrants and winners of our 2018 Photography Competition alongside an inspiring display of photographs from Ashby Camera Club.
